ABOUT BORROWED LIGHT

Borrowed Light - In architecture it's light that flows through one space to illuminate another. The illumination doesn't remain pure, however because it's colored consciously or unconsciously by the shades, shadows and colors of the space through which it travels. Good photography is like that, pure ideas and simple stories seasoned with subtle nuances that reflect both the photographer's and the viewer's  perceptions of the world.

This website is an eclectic collection of images from many places. The galleries for the most part represent on-going photographic projects composed of images that relate to some idea or concept that I've been thinking about or a place I've been. I'm fickle, so I change them often. There is usually a description of the concept with each gallery or an esoteric quote that hints of some vague explanation.
